The White Sulphur Springs Lions again had a very successful Rifle Raffle.
This year’s winner was Trey White, a resident of White Sulphur Springs. Congratulations go to Trey and a big “thank you” to everyone who purchased tickets. The money from the raffle goes to community projects such as buying eyeglasses for those in need.
The Lions also do several service projects such as eye screening at the elementary school and a litter pick-up through the Adopt-A-Highway program.
The Lions Clubs International is the largest service organization in the world and includes former President Jimmy Carter and Dr. Oz as members. Throughout the world, the organization helps with disaster relief, prevention of blindness, and measles inoculation, among many other projects.
