Billie Joe Stover, 80, of Quinwood, passed away on Tuesday, October 1, 2024, at his home. He was born on October 7, 1943, in Quinwood, the son of the late Ira Littleton Stover and Clitie Agnes Redden Stover.

In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by a brother, Tracey E. Stover, sister, Patsy Adams and a niece, Leslie Adams.

Billie served in the US Air Force. He graduated from Crichton High School. He worked for the phone company and as a caregiver. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, ginsenging and watching sports. He loved the Lord and the great outdoors.

Survivors include his wife, Iona Hughart Stover; son, Charles “Chuck” Stover of Quinwood; daughter, Brandie Christy (Brandon) of Crawley; son, Kenny Brewster (Teresa) of Sinking Creek, brother-in-law, Phillip “Pete” Adams of Corliss, sister-in-law’s, Gay Stover of Aiken, SC and Patsy Hughart of Rainelle; many nieces and nephews; several great nieces and nephews and friends.

Celebration of Life service for the family will be held at a later date. The family wants to thank everyone for the many prayers.
