On Oct. 2, the Greenbrier County Democratic Women’s Club presented a check for $500 to the White Sulphur Springs EMS to assist survivors of Hurricane Helene in Asheville, NC. “We are pleased to support this local agency that is working so hard to help with the recovery effort in Western North Carolina,” stated Carol F. Evans, President.
According to Cathey Sawyer, club Vice President, community engagement is a critical part of the club’s mission. Accepting the donation on behalf of WSS EMS were Alan Sizemore, Kayla M. McCoy, and Nicole Ramsey. Kayla is a candidate for the House of Delegates in the 47th district.
