On June 1, at approximately 2300 hours, Patrolman M. Blankenship along with Corporal J.A. Vance of the Lewisburg Police Department conducted a traffic stop on a silver Nissan Versa along Grand Avenue located within the Lewisburg city limits. During the traffic stop, K-9 unit Corporal J.T. Williams II and K-9 “Kora” were also dispatched to the scene, along with Sergeant D.B. Eggleston. Officers received a positive K-9 indication and conducted a thorough vehicle search.
The officer’s investigation and vehicle search resulted in the seizure of 66.9 grams of Fentanyl, 6.75 grams of Methamphetamine, 2.94 grams of Marijuana and $1,324.64 in US Currency. A Taurus 9mm and scales were also taken from the suspects.
Brandon Joice Clark, 36, of Ronceverte was charged with Persons Prohibited from Possessing Firearms – Felony. Paula Jean Matney, 44, of Dunbar was charged with Possession with Intent to Deliver – Felony. Christopher Lee Lyons, 41, of Ronceverte was charged with Possession with Intent to Deliver – Felony.
Patrolman Makenna Blankenship is the arresting officer on this investigation.
