The Greenbrier Valley Garden Clubs are hosting the 39th House and Garden Tour on Saturday, June 8, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Tickets are $25 and are available from any garden club member, the Visitors Center in Lewisburg, The General Lewis Inn, Gillespie’s Flowers, and at the door of each home on tour day.
Included on the tour are seven homes located in Lewisburg, Second Creek and White Sulphur Springs.
Visit the English country manor home on Stone Creek Lane in White Sulphur Springs. Legend has it that in the late 1920’s or early 1930’s, Al Capone, the Chicago mobster owned the home. Mirapaso, the beautiful Mediterranean style home located in Lewisburg, was built between 1926 and 1929 and includes one of the first swimming pools in our area. The never before shown guest house will be open for viewing this year. The Venable-Mathew-Moore Home built in 1850 on Washington Street, Lewisburg, was first on tour in 2022 shortly after renovation began. Come see the ongoing transformation of this spacious, elegant home.
This event is sponsored by West Virginia Garden Club Inc. along with Greenbrier Valley Garden Clubs for civic beautification projects.
