Turkey Dinner in Williamsburg
The Williamsburg Community Action will sponsor a Turkey Dinner on Saturday, Nov. 22, from 12 noon to 5 p.m. A traditional Thanksgiving Dinner will be served: turkey/dressing, fresh mashed potatoes/gravy, green beans, coleslaw, breads/rolls, desserts, tea/coffee. Tuesday night Jam Sessions at the American Heritage Music Hall (AHMH) at Island Park, 315 Monroe Avenue, Ronceverte, are set for Nov. 25, Dec. 2, 9 and 16 from 7 to 10/10:30 p.m. Doors open at 6, music starts at 7 p.m. Admission: Tuesdays $7 each; dance night $10 each. Saturday Night Dance Nov. 22 will feature Bill Evans & The Night Riders. Saturday Night Dance Dec. 6 will feature High Country. Saturday Night Dance Dec. 20 will feature Steele Country. Dollar Bag Sale
The Williamsburg Thrift Shop, WIlliamsburg, will hold a month long dollar bag sale – everything that can be put in a grocery bag for $1. The sale will run the entire month of November. The shop is open from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Friday and Saturday. The last day will be Nov. 29 when it will close for the winter. The shop is located in the Willliamsburg Community School Building. Mountain Transit Authority

31st Annual Arts & Crafts Show
at Nicholas County High School Friday, Dec. 5, 6:30 to 9:30 p.m. and Saturday, Dec. 6, 9 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Over 100 booths. Admission by donation. Door prizes hourly. Grand prize $100 drawing at 2:30 p.m. Saturday – must be present to win.
Wellspring of Greenbrier, Inc., Rupert
is not accepting clothing, furniture or household items as of Nov. 12 through Dec. 31. The only items accepted during this time are blankets, towels, non-perishable foods. The adopt-a-family program is currently under way. If you would like to adopt a family please call 304-392-2095.
Recycling bins
The City of Lewisburg is pleased to announce that four recycling bins for plastic bottles have been placed at Hollowell Park. All Lewisburg residents are encouraged to recycle. Recycling extends the life of our landfill, reduces long term sanitation costs, reduces raw material costs for new products we buy and keeps our environment cleaner. Multiple Sclerosis (MS) Support Group
meets once a month, usually around the last Tuesday. The group is open to all who have MS and also family and friends. Medical students and such are welcome. There is no charge or fees to join.
