Jo Lynn Ball, 82, passed away Saturday, Feb. 3, 2024, at the Peyton Hospice House following a long illness. Born Oct. 18, 1941, in Montgomery, WV, she was the daughter of the late Victor Harold Burks and Mary Katherine Shawver Burks.
Survivors include daughter, Renee Harvey (Randy) of Alderson; sister, Bonnie Ellison of Bluefield, VA; and brother-in-law, Joe Ball (Linda) of Lewisburg. Also left to cherish her memory is grandson, Matthew Harvey of Alderson; granddaughters, Nicole Adkins (Charles) of Ballard, and Amber Toney (Cody) of Danese; special nieces, Vickie Crockett (Junior) of Bluefield, VA, and Laura Stewart (Richard) of Holland, OH; special cousin, Lynne Strubble (Skip) of Pittsburgh, PA; and special friends, Doris and Dana Godby of Lewisburg.
A memorial service will be held at Wallace & Wallace Funeral Home in Lewisburg on Friday, Feb. 9, with the Reverend Joe Geiger and Reverend Jeff Kanode officiating. The family will receive friends from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. with the funeral following at 1 p.m. In lieu of flowers the family requests that donations be made in her memory to the Peyton Hospice House, 1265 Maplewood Avenue, Lewisburg, WV, 24901.
