The Williamsburg Community Educational Outreach Service Club met at the Williamsburg Historical Museum for their monthly meeting on Jun. 13.
The club recently completed a service project by making and donating 25 heart pillows to be used at CAMC. T-shirts were also donated to the Greenbrier Valley Children’s Home. Also, the club donated funds to the county Energy Express program along with cereal boxes for their summer projects. The Williamsburg Flying Falcons 4-H Club will also receive a donation to be used for 4-H Camps.
The monthly lesson “Personal Planning for Today and Beyond” was prepared by Andi Hoover, Greenbrier County WVU Extension Agent, was presented by club member Shela McComsey. Members learned what personal records that you will need and where to keep the records that will allow others to follow your wishes. The National Institute on Aging has free publications that can help with planning end of life issues.
Members participating were Laura Ann Tiller, Blanche Knicely, Laura Rose, Linda Spencer, Barbara Deeds, Burl and Patty Post, Loretta Shirley and Laura Sevy.
