Pumpkin Day is a day of fun for children in the community at S.J. Neathawk Lumber Company at their North Jefferson Street location in Lewisburg. From 9 a.m. to noon on Saturday, Oct. 25, children of all ages streamed into the store accompanied by parents and grandparents to select a pumpkin and decorate it with a wide variety of brightly colored pipe cleaners, alphabet letters, glitter, markers and fuzzy stick-ons. S.J. Neathawk provided the pumpkins and decorations free of charge, and the staff was delighted to host an estimated 125 children to the seventh annual Pumpkin Day event.
“We love our customers and community, and this is one way for us to say thanks and have some fun at the same time,” says Janet Neathawk, president of S.J. Neathawk Lumber Company.
