EXPO at old Bolling School
On Friday, Oct. 24 and Saturday, 25 there will be an expo event at the old Bolling School on Oak Street in Lewisburg. The expo is a fundraiser to fix up the new teen center. Admission is by donation, and bands such as Fritz Schindler, Brightwork and RSYM will perform. Several vendors including Premier Jewelry, Celebrating Home, Mary Kay and many more will be on hand.

Clayton-Griffith Creek Annual Pie Supper
will be held Saturday, Oct. 25 at 6 p.m. in the Clayton Community Building, Clayton. Haunted House in Williamsburg
Join the Williamsburg Rescue Squad for a scary and fun-filled evening in a haunted house. The 3rd Annual Haunted House will be open Oct. 24, 25 and 31. This year, the haunted experience will begin with a hayride from the Rescue Squad to the Williamsburg Community School. The cost is $8 per person. After the tour through the haunted house join us beside our fire pit where you can purchase a s’mores kit and a hot cocoa. The Haunted House is a fundraiser to benefit the purchase of a new ambulance for the Williamsburg Clintonville area. AHMH’s upcoming schedule
Tuesday night Jam Sessions at the American Heritage Music Hall (AHMH) at Island Park, 315 Monroe Avenue, Ronceverte, are set for Oct. 28, Nov. 4, 11, 18 and 25 from 7 to 10/10:30 p.m. Doors open at 6, music starts at 7 p.m. Admission: Tuesdays $7 each; dance night $10 each. Saturday Night Dance on Oct. 25 will feature High Country. Admission includes food, coffee and soft drinks brought in by the audience and donated to the music hall to share with everyone. Motorcycle Safety Course
The final Basic Rider Motorcycle Safety course for the year, hosted by Dabney S. Lancaster Community College, is scheduled Friday through Sunday, Oct. 24-26. Participants completing and passing the one-credit course, which includes a riding skills test as well as a written exam, will receive a 30-day Virginia DMV motorcycle license and a completion card from the Motorcycle Safety League. The three-day course is held on Friday from 6:30 to 9:30 p.m. at the DSLCC Rockbridge Regional Center in Buena Vista, and from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Saturday and Sunday at the Lee-Hi Travel Plaza in Lexington. Motorcycles and helmets are provided. Recycling bins
The City of Lewisburg is pleased to announce that four recycling bins for plastic bottles have been placed at Hollowell Park. All Lewisburg residents are encouraged to recycle. Recycling extends the life of our landfill, reduces long term sanitation costs, reduces raw material costs for new products we buy and keeps our environment cleaner.
