Lansing-Bryan McClung, 57, passed away early Sunday, Aug. 11, 2013, at his residence in Lansing.
Born Apr. 6, 1956, in Ronceverte, he was the son of the late Charles Witt and Mildred Shearl McClung.
Bryan graduated WVU and taught high school and coached sports. He guided on the New and Gauley Rivers and was the proud owner of Chestnut Creek Campground for 18 years.
Bryan was preceded in death by his parents; and two brothers, Carmon McClung and Dennis McClung.
Surviving are: his daughter, Sierra Hattier and his grandson Tyler of Salt Lake City, UT; two brothers, Mark McClung of Lewisburg and Alan McClung of Texas; aunt, Iva Mae Jarrett of Charleston; and numerous cousins, nieces and nephews and a special cousin, Desiree Catalona, who helped Bryan run the Chestnut Creek Campground for the last five years.
A Celebration of Life will be held at 5 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 17, at the McClung Family Farm at 710 Asbury Methodist Church Road, Asbury (call 304-445-6432 for directions) and Sunday, Aug. 18 at 5 p.m. at Chestnut Creek Campground, Lansing. Bring memories, photos and musical instruments.
