The American Red Cross 21st Annual Christmas Festival & Craft Show will be held Saturday, Nov. 1, from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. at two locations in Oak Hill: Lewis Community Center, 469 Central Avenue and the Nazarene Church Rushing Life Center, 1913 East Main Street.
Show is open to vendors representing clubs, churches, schools, civic groups, organizations and individuals. Cost is $35 without electric and $40 with electric per booth space of 10 feet. We supply two chairs and electricity upon request (electricity is limited). Must supply own table. The Red Cross collects the $35 or $40; you keep what you sell. We do ask that each vender donate at least one item to be used for door prizes. We arrange entertainment, a food concession and have even asked a jolly, big guy in a plush, red suit to join the fun again this year.
Red Cross volunteers will promote the event.
Decorate a small tree at your booth – make it an original, make it different! A prize goes to the most original. (No electric lights or candles please.)
Admission will be by donation and proceeds will go to the American Red Cross Fayette-Nicholas Chapter. Dining at the Rushing Center with proceeds to the Goldeneers of the Nazarene Church.
A Christmas Tree will be located in the Lewis Center from Nov. 4 through Dec. 31. The Christmas tree is in honor of all servicemen and service women. If you have someone in the service or someone who has ever served in any branch of the military, please put their name on an ornament; stop anytime and place the ornament on the tree! Ornaments will be available at the Christmas Festival.
