Due to data updates, the WVDHHR map color is sometimes adjusted retroactively, confusing schools’ daily map-based mask protocol. For this reason, Greenbrier County Schools will now announce mask protocol for the following WEEK based on the WVDHHR map color update each FRIDAY. The protocol for the next week will be communicated to families and staff each Friday through our School Messenger notification system and the district Facebook page @GreenbrierCountySchools.
As a reminder, masks are required in schools for the following week when our county’s map status is Red, Orange, or Gold on Friday. If the county is Yellow or Green on Friday, masks will be optional for the following week. Masks must be worn on buses at all times per federal requirements.
