At the June meeting of the Maxwelton Ruritan Club, Kendra Goeddert and her family were present as Kendra was awarded the club’s Henry Lindsey Scholarship. Kendra is a graduate of Greenbrier East High School and plans to attend West Virginia Wesleyan College and major in Social Work.
Members continued planning for the State Fair of WV and operation of their Ice Cream Concession Stand. Everyone agreed that this year will be special since COVID caused the cancellation of last year’s Fair. The club also donated $250 to the Greenbrier Youth Camp to sponsor a camper in July. The July meeting will be held on July 22 at the Fairgrounds to start with clean up and preparing for the Fair!
