Celebrating artists who embody American roots music styles, including country, roots – rock, folk, bluegrass, R&B and blues, the First Annual Lewisburg Music Festival will be held on Saturday, July 26, from 2-10 p.m. The lawns of Carnegie Hall, New River Community & Technical College and The North House will be transformed into festival grounds featuring the following bands:
• 2 p.m. – The Wild Rumpus
• 3 p.m. – Mandolin Orange
• 4:30 p.m. – Nora Jane Struthers & The Party Line
• 6 p.m. – The Steel Wheels
• 7:30 p.m. – Yarn
• 9 p.m. – Keller Williams
The gates will open at 12 noon with entrances located at the intersection of US Rt.60/Washington Street and Church Street, as well as behind the Hall at the upper corner of New River Community & Technical College’s parking lot. Other parking may be found downtown, and in the municipal lots on Washington and Foster Streets. Will call will be located at the US Rt. 60/Washington Street and Church Street entrance.
The Kids’ Space will open at 1 p.m. and close for the day at 7 p.m. Kids’ activities will include face painting, a festival coloring sheet, hula hoops and bubbles. During a live broadcast from 3-5 p.m. the 99.5 WJLS Big Dawg will join his crew and be on site to shake paws and pose for photos with fans.
For the comfort and convenience of festival-goers, food and beverage vendors will be on site the day of the festival. Norton’s Italian Ice, Stuart’s Smokehouse, Stella’s and The Livery will be offering a variety of menu options on festival grounds. Several restaurants are also available downtown within walking distance.
The Beer Garden will open at 1 p.m. A variety of wine and beer will be offered throughout the day. An over 21 wristband will be issued for those who wish to purchase alcohol. Valid photo ID is required.

Tickets not purchased in person can be picked up at Carnegie Hall or will be held at Will Call day of the event. Tickets will be exchanged for a wristband at the gate. Your wristband is your “passport” to come and go throughout the day.
