A sitting circuit judge and a retired circuit judge are among the 18 West Virginia lawyers named 2014 West Virginia Bar Foundation Fellows.
Eleventh Judicial Circuit (Greenbrier and Pocahontas counties) Judge James J. Rowe and Senior Status Judge Thomas Keadle of the Twenty-Sixth Judicial Circuit (Lewis and Upsur counties) were honored during the 16th Annual Bar Foundation Fellows Dinner held Apr. 24 at the Charleston Marriott Town Center.
The dinner also was a celebration of the Bar Foundation’s 25th anniversary.
Other honorees that night included John Bennett of Logan, a member of the West Virginia Courthouse Facilities Improvement Authority, and John Lukens of Charleston, a member of the West Virginia Lawyer Disciplinary Board.
The Bar Foundation says Fellows are “those judges and lawyers whose professional, public and private careers have demonstrated outstanding dedication to the welfare of their communities and honorable service to the legal profession.”
The West Virginia Bar Foundation is the philanthropic organization of the state legal profession.
