Lewisburg-Patricia A. Talbert (1935-2020), age 84, passed from her earthly home early on Friday morning, July 10, 2020, after a lengthy battle with multiple ailments.
Born July 21, 1935, in Charleston, WV, she was the daughter of the late Augustus Mason Helmintoller and Hallie Mae Mann Helmintoller.
She moved with her family to Hinton at an early age, attended Riverview Elementary School and graduated from Hinton High School in 1953. She received an associate degree from a local business school and left West Virginia for employment with the FBI in Washington, DC.
Patricia married in 1956, moved with her husband several times and ended up once again in the suburbs of Washington, DC. Except for a brief reemployment with the FBI, she dedicated her life to being the best mother and wife anyone could possibly be. Her last move was to Lewisburg where she spent her retirement years involved in church and club activities.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by sister, Betty Jo (Helmintoller) Lilly, and by Betty Jo’s husband, Stewart Lilly and sister-in-law, Kathy (Forestall) Helmintoller.
Family members surviving her are: her husband of 64 years, James Talbert; sons, James Douglas, Wayne Emerson and wife Jamie; her siblings, Augustus Mason, Jr., Fred La Mont and wife Janet, and Virginia Margaret and husband Bill; grandchildren, Cassidy, Story, Rian, and Jessica.
Graveside services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Monday, July 20, at Rosewood Cemetery in Lewisburg with Pastor Beverly Colombo officiating.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Patricia’s memory to the Lewisburg United Methodist Church, 1133 Washington Street East, Lewisburg, WV 24901.
