Tonya Martin in Girl Scout Troop 37400 will be one of only 25 girls in Black Diamond Council that will get to go on a trip to London and Paris in 2022.
She will get the opportunity to visit several places including Pax Lodge, Westminster Abbey, the Louvre, the Eiffel Tower, a cruise on the river Thames, Big Ben, Piccadily Circus, St. Paul’s Cathedral, the Arc de Triomphe, the Hall of Mirrors, and the Fragonard Perfume Factory.
She is also really excited about practicing some of the French she learned this year. She has a fundraising goal of $3,890 needed to take her trip. Tonya will be having a lemonade and brownie sale in front of Melanie’s Styles and Profiles on Main Street in White Sulphur Springs on July 18. Please plan to come by and support her if you are in the area.
She also has a recycle bin that says “Girl Scout troop 37400” on the bottom located at the Emmanuel United Methodist Church. Donations of aluminum cans can be deposited inside it and Tonya will exchange the cans regularly for money to benefit her trip. The container is located around back of the church in front of the double doors where the church food pantry is held.
A third way you can support Tonya is by texting her leader (Jessica Martin) at 304-661-4065 to receive a link to Tonya’s personal donation site.
