Ronceverte – Millie Blanche Daugherty Taylor, 67, passed away Tuesday, June 23, 2020, at Greenbrier Valley Medical Center, Ronceverte, following a sudden illness.
Born Feb. 22, 1953, at Ronceverte, she was the daughter of the late Wallace Elliot Turner and Thelma June McCormick Turner.
Millie was a former member of the Ronceverte Baptist Church. She owned a cleaning business and spent many summers on the Ronceverte Island Park coaching softball.
In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by a sister, Patricia Ann Peek.
Survivors include her husband of 22 years, Robert Joseph Taylor; children, Melissa K. Burdette (Eric) and their children, Landon and Atlee of Ronceverte, John “J.A.” Alfred Taylor (Samantha) and children, Havyn and Keyana of Ronceverte, Casandra Joyce Taylor and her children, Lauren, Hunter and BrentLe of Peterstown, and Tevin Taylor (Rachael) of Charleston; brothers, John W. Turner (Shirley) of Ronceverte, and Donald R. Turner (Janet) of Lewisburg; sisters, Mary Isaacs (Mike) of Lewisburg, and Brenda Miller (Rusty) of Concord, NC; mother-in-law, Genevieve Taylor; brothers-in-law, Richard Peek and Alfred W. Taylor, Jr. (Linda) all of Ronceverte; sister-in-law, Patricia Daugherty-Singley of Knoxville, TN; aunt by marriage, Mary Sue McDowell of West Jefferson, OH; and several nieces and nephews.
Memorial service will be held at 6 p.m., Friday, July 3, at the Morgan Funeral Home Chapel, 252 Montvue Drive, Lewisburg. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.
