The Greenbrier, world-renowned for its trout fishing, hosted seven veterans from all over West Virginia at its first Project Healing Waters Fly Fishing (PHWFF) event. The national program has been helping veterans in need for almost 10 years teaching them fly-fishing skills, including tying flies and building rods in addition to fishing. Jacob Ott, director of Outdoor Pursuits at The Greenbrier Sporting Club, extended the invitation to the PHWFF team who were thrilled with the opportunity to fish in Howard’s Creek at The Greenbrier.
