Lowell Rose announces election bid

Lowell Rose, a former Greenbrier County Commissioner, is seeking election to that office. Lowell is a life long resident of Greenbrier County and a local businessman with over 36 years of service to the residents of the area. Lowell lives on his farm just west of Ronceverte with his wife of 30 years Diane Pettyjohn Rose. He has two daughters, Jessie, 25, is a Pre-K teacher in Martinsburg, and Catlin, 21, who will graduate in 2015 with a teaching degree in science and biology.

Lowell is active in his church and fills in when needed as Sunday school leader and Senior Class teacher. He has also served the community helping with the Penny Pitch program for the last 36 years. During his time on the County Commission, Lowell worked to correct the problems created by former commissions and pledges to do so again. While on the Commission Lowell helped establish the Farm Land Protection Board, the Court House Security Program and the Day Report and drug testing program. Lowell served on the Animal Shelter Advisory Board, Airport Authority and the Planning Commission which was one of the most progressive and active commissions in the county’s history. This proves if you put the right people in place and give them leadership and direction great results will happen.

Lowell appreciates the support he received in the past and once again asks for your support to put someone with common sense and years of business experience on the County Commission.
