In honor of HospiceCare’s 35th Anniversary of serving the people of West Virginia, Landau Eugene Murphy, Jr. is coming home to The Clay Center to perform a benefit concert at 8 p.m.
Thursday, June 19, featuring special guest vocalists from The Temptations, Platters and Drifters, performing each of their legendary group’s biggest R&B hits. Landau will also be debuting new tracks for the first time ever from his upcoming third studio release.
Since stealing the hearts of the nation on America’s Got Talent, to his chart-topping success with his Columbia Records debut CD, “That’s Life” and follow-up “Christmas Made for Two” Landau has toured across the country and abroad to sold-out audiences, all the while maintaining his home and roots in his beloved West Virginia. Landau’s concert also will help serve as an un-official kick-off FestivALL, the Capitol City’s annual celebration of the arts and culture.
Tickets for this special, one-night-only benefit concert are $35, $50 and $100 and will go on sale at 10 a.m. Tuesday, Mar. 4. The $100 VIP tickets include a pre-show Friends of Hospice meet-and-greet reception with Landau at 6:30 p.m. in the Walker Theater behind the stage at The Clay Center.
