The city of Lewisburg held its annual Christmas parade on Saturday, Dec. 7.

The parade committee would like to thank all 40 organizations, teams, and businesses that came out this year to take part in the festivities and we congratulate all of the winners. Community involvement in this Lewisburg tradition is the reason it happens year after year.

First place winners are the following: Lilly Lane Boutique for best float; Bill and Gloria Martin’s 1929 Ford for best antique vehicle; Eastern Greenbrier Middle School for best band; Images of Dance for best walking entry.

Second place winners are the following: Girl Scouts 1919 for best float; Boone Tractor for best antique vehicle; Greenbrier East High School for best band; Trillium Performing Arts for best walker.

Third Place winners are the following: Cub Scouts Pack #122 for best float; 1962 Ford Pickup for best antique vehicle; Lewisburg Steelers football team for best walking group.

Mayor White and the City of Lewisburg would like to thank everyone for supporting this year’s parade. Special thanks to Mike Kidd, master of ceremonies; our judges, Valerie Pritt of the Greenbrier County Convention and Visitors Bureau and Erin Hurst of the United Way of Greenbrier Valley; Santa Claus; the Lewisburg Police Department for traffic control and the Lewisburg Fire Department.

Certificates may be picked up upstairs at City Hall located at 942 Washington Street, West in downtown Lewisburg.
