White Sulphur Springs-Wilda Terry Lucas passed away from this Earth in the early morning hours of Tuesday, Sept. 3, 2019, following a vehicle accident on Aug. 20, 2019.
Born Dec. 24, 1933, as Wilda Wandalean Terry, she was the daughter of Allen and Lillian Terry.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Allen and Lydia Terry; her siblings, Eloise Owens, Eleanor Flack, and Camilla Terry; daughter, Charlotte Buckland; first husband, Jimmy Lucas; and second husband, Jack Lucas.
Wilda was well-known for her strength of spirit, excellent serving skills at The Greenbrier Hotel and Resort, good cooking, and most of all, the love she had for her family.
She leaves behind daughter, Patricia Ridgeway; grandchildren, Lisa Lafferty, Jamie and wife Cathleen Ridgeway, and Jason and wife Hope Ridgeway; great-grandchildren, Shaylen Lafferty, Colin and McKenzie Ridgeway, and Cody Cooper. She also will be missed by many beloved cousins, nieces, nephews, great-nieces and nephews, neighbors and friends.
There will be a private Celebration of Life held in her honor later this month.
