The Lewisburg Wal-Mart was placed on lockdown on Thursday, Aug. 15, after a “suspicious package” was found in the parking lot.
Emergency dispatchers say a call came in at 9:17 a.m. regarding the package, and police immediately responded to the scene and secured the area. West Virginia State Police, Lewisburg City Police, Lewisburg Fire Department, and the Greenbrier County Sheriff’s Office responded. Additional resources were called in to help secure the package.
