White Sulphur Springs-Asil Grey Ingram, 79, passed away Wednesday, May 1, 2019, at Select Specialty Hospital, Charleston, WV.
Born Apr. 3, 1940, at Anthony, WV, he was the son of the late Bun and Lorena Cummings Ingram.
Asil was retired from C&O/CSX after 32 years of service as an Engineer. He was a member of the Lewisburg Baptist Church and was a U.S. Army Veteran.
In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his loving wife of 43 years, Lela Blake Ingram; stepson, Rocky Mankins; brothers, Allen, Gerald, Maynard and Leonard Ingram; and sister, Theda Mae Ingram.
Survivors include son, Asil James Ingram of White Sulphur Springs; stepson, Shane Mankins (Min Lu) of Spartanburg, SC; brothers, Basil Ingram (Patti) of Clifton Forge, VA and Avis Ingram (Gerry) of St. Augustine, FL; grandchildren, Anneka Ingram, Juliana Ingram and April Mankins; great-grandchildren, Mark, Daniel and Joe Joe; and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral service was held Tuesday, May 7, at the Morgan Funeral Home Chapel, Lewisburg, where Pastor Jonathan Comer officiated. Burial with Military Rites followed in Rosewood Cemetery, Lewisburg.
Visitation was one hour prior to the service, Tuesday, at the funeral home.
