Fort Spring-Kenneth Wyatt Greenway, 68, passed away Saturday, Mar. 23, 2019. at Ruby Memorial Hospital, Morgantown.
Kenny was born Jan. 31, 1951, in Ronceverte to the late Robert Martin and Lula Brooks Greenway.
Kenny was a member of the Mt. Vernon United Methodist Church; a member of Masonic Lodge #77 of Union; he was a life member of both the Vietnam Veterans of America Chapter #1072 and the Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 6723; Kenny was a proud Vietnam Army Veteran having served in the 11th Light Infantry Brigade. He was a retired Riverboat Pilot for American Electric Power Co.
Other than his parents, Kenny was preceded in death by two daughters, Amanda Michelle Greenway and Rebecca Susan Greenway and brother, Robert Martin Greenway, Jr. Also preceding him were his grandparents, Ernest and Rebecca Brooks of Fort Spring, who Kenny lived with growing up.
Survivors include his wife of 42 years, Gale Greenway; son, Joshua W. Greenway and fiancé Rita Lawhorne of Fort Spring; sisters, Margaret Octavia Young and husband James of Winfield and Louise Lizanna Greenway of Alderson; and brother, Roger “Dale” Greenway and wife Carol of South Charleston.
Funeral service will be at 2 p.m. on Sunday, Mar. 31, at the Wallace & Wallace Funeral Home in Ronceverte, with Pastor Kathy Keadle officiating. Burial with Military Rites and Masonic Rites will follow in the Mt. Vernon Cemetery at Fort Spring.
Family will receive friends on Saturday, Mar. 30, from 6 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home.
