Construction of the Montwell Commons building has continued through the recent spurt of bad weather, and now the outer design of the structure is more apparent.
The large front porch faces Route 219, leaving many passersby wondering what the purpose of the building is.
According to a recent news release, it will function as a place to “sell local produce, meats, and dairy products, as well as serve breakfasts and lunches in a comfortable community setting.”
The co-op marketplace pushes Montwell Commons closer to their ultimate goal of “creating a beautiful, functional space and healthy environment where all generations are nourished by caring connections, mutual partnerships and a culture of learning and creativity,” according to their website.
