Greenbrier Valley Theatre (GVT), in partnership with the Met: Live in HD, is proud to present Nico Muhly’s Marnie.
Seen in theatres for the first time, this moving tale will stream live on Saturday, Nov. 10 at 12:55 p.m. The simulcast will last approximately three hours and thirty minutes, with one intermission. Dr. James Caplinger, from the University of Charleston, will give a complimentary lecture beginning at 12:15 p.m.

Starring as the cunning and deceitful title character is Isabel Leonard, alongside Christopher Maltman as her boss and husband Mark Rutland. Iestyn Davies portrays Terry Rutland, Mark’s wayward brother and the production is conducted by Robert Spano.

Leading lady Isabel Leonard made her Met debut as Stéphano in the beloved classic Roméo et Juliette. Since then her Met roles have included Cherubino in Le Nozze di Figaro, Zerlina in Don Giovanni. Other roles include the title role of La Cenerentola at the Vienna State Opera, Adalgisa in Norma at the Canadian Opera Company and Rosina in Il Barbiere di Siviglia at Washington National Opera and the Vienna State Opera. Upcoming roles at the Met include the title role of Marnie and Blanche de la Force in Dialogues des Carmélites.
