Shreve, OH-Marshall Kent Vaughan, 76, died Tuesday, Oct. 2, 2018, at his residence surrounded by his loving family.
Friends called Monday afternoon, Oct. 8 at Loudonville Baptist Temple, Loudonville, OH. Services were held Tuesday, Oct. 9 at Loudonville Baptist Temple where Pastor Dave Kohler officiated. Kent was born Dec. 5, 1941, in Charleston, WV, to Dallas Ralph and Eva Lee (Elswick) Vaughan.
He graduated from Clay High School in Clay. He served in the U.S. Army. He married Wilma Fankhauser on Nov. 1, 1989. Kent worked at Newell Rubbermaid for 29 years before his retirement. He and Wilma have been members of Loudonville Baptist Temple. Kent volunteered for the Wooster Fire Department for years, and was a diver for the Wayne County Underwater Search and Rescue Team for 14 years. He loved to fish, boat, travel, and cut wood. Kent was a gun enthusiast, and loved being outdoors, especially to hunt and camp.
Marshall will be deeply missed by his wife of 29 years; children, Melissa Frank of Kent and Andy Vaughan of Los Angeles; grandchildren, Sam and Natalie; brother, Wayne Vaughan of Fredricksburg; sisters, Linda (Paul) Gaughan of Servia Elmira, WV and Kathy (Jimmy) Cottrill of Ireland, WV.
Marshall was preceded in death by his parents.
