Greenbrier Valley Theatre (GVT), the state professional theatre of West Virginia, is proud to continue its literary series each Monday through the month of October at 5:30 p.m.

This event is free and open to the public. For more information, call the Box Office at 304-645-3838 or visit www.gvtheatre.org.

Monday, Oct. 15 will feature WV author Eric Fritzius. Fritzius has appeared in nearly two dozen GVT productions since 2003, most recently in The Tragedy Of Julius Caesar. His short plays have been produced around the state and recently above the Mason-Dixon for the Barrington Stage Company in Pittsfield, MA.  He’s the author of the short story collection A Consternation Of Monsters.

The Literary Series will continue on Oct. 22 with a reading from Ellen Moore,  an artist and writer from Beckley. Also a novelist and graphic designer, she started a writing and art business called Moore to Life, which represents her outlook on life. Her short story “Brandied Fruit” won 2nd place in the Short Story category of West Virginia Writers 2018 writing contest.

GVT’s Associate Artistic Director Courtney Susman will read Evidence of Love in a Case of Abandonment: One Daughter’s Personal Account by M. Rickert on Oct. 15, GVT’s Education Manager Annalisa Fischel will read 2BRO2B by Kurt Vonnegut on Oct. 22 and the Oct. 29 community poetry reading will feature Sarah Elkins as emcee.

The Literary Series will run Oct. 15, 22 and 29 at 5:30 p.m. Cookies, coffee and tea will be provided. The event is free and open to the public. For more information, call GVT’s Box Office at 304-645-3838 or visit www.gvtheatre.org. The program is presented with financial assistance from the WV Division of Arts, Culture & History, and the National Endowment for the Arts, with approval from the WV Commission on the Arts.
