A Monroe County resident was confirmed to be a victim of a shooting on Sunday at Chicago Pizza in downtown Jacksonville, FL, according to the Miami Herald.

The shooting took place during a Madden NFL video game tournament at GLHF Game Bar, which is next door to Chicago Pizza. Authorities say Baltimore gamer David Katz, 24, shot and killed two young men and injured 10 others before turning the gun on himself. Witnesses reported that before opening fire, Katz had lost several games and was said to have been acting strangely all day. The two victims were identified by the Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office as Taylor Robertson, 27, of Ballard, WV, and Eli Clayton, 22, of Woodland Hills, CA.

Robertson, a graduate of James Monroe High School, is survived by his wife and young son.

According to EA Sports, via the Miami Herald, Robertson played 18 games as part of the Madden community. Members of the community said he competed to help support his family. Known in the gaming world as “SpotMePlzzz,” Robertson had “the skill to completely take over any ‘Madden’ tournament,” his EA Sports profile says. He reportedly took home $80,500 in prizes in head-to-head live events, winning 72 percent of his 18 games.

In a social media post, Robertson’s sister-in-law, Sierra Robertson, said, “To much of the world, Taylor Robertson was known as a professional gamer… But to our family he was an amazing father, a husband, a son, a brother and so much more… His entire world revolved around his family.”
