New River Community and Technical College is giving community members a chance to try out college for free during campus events in July.
The “Give College a Try in July” events will include an interactive classroom experience, career assessments, college trivia with giveaways and lunch.
“Our ‘Give College a Try in July’ events are for those who are interested in college, but unsure if it’s right for them; and those who are curious, but haven’t visited a campus; along with those who may think that they are too busy to fit college classes into their lives,” explained Director of Enrollment Services Tracy Evans. “We encourage community members to join us and let us answer their questions about attending college.”
Events are scheduled from 10 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. on July 9 at the Greenbrier Valley Campus, Lewisburg; July 10 at the Nicholas County Campus, Summersville; July 11 at the Raleigh County Campus, Beaver; and July 12 at the Mercer County Campus, Princeton. Lunch reservations are required for the events.
There is no cost for the events and seating is limited. For additional information or to make reservations, call 304-929-5480 or 1-866-349-3739 and ask for Tracy Evans.
