Ronceverte-Elba Lee Coulter, Jr., 83, passed away Monday, Apr. 30, 2018, at the Peyton Hospice House in Lewisburg.
Born Mar. 15, 1935, at Romney, he was a son of the late Elba Lee Coulter, Sr. and the late Rhoda L. King Coulter.
He was a retired slitter operator with Hercules in Covington, The Greenbrier Hotel, Shanklin Funeral Home and was custodian at Lewisburg Elementary school. He formerly worked for WVDOH; was a former EMT for Williamsburg Rescue Squad and a grant writer for Williamsburg; was a former council member with the City of Ronceverte; loved woodworking and was a “jack of all trades.”
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by sister, Sarah Dawson; brother, Alfred Coulter; grandson, Travis Cox; and great-granddaughter, Shaelyn Morris.
He is survived by his wife Demma Jean LeMasters Coulter; sister, Virginia Chornsby; his children, Russell Lee Coulter (Joan), Pamela Louise Hunter (Mike), Barbara Ann Morgan (Mitchell), Richard Wayne Coulter (Cheryl), Mary Frances Thomas and Susan Renee McCormack (Aaron); 13 grandchildren and 20 great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday, May 5, at Wallace & Wallace Funeral Home in Ronceverte, with Pastor Robert Hefner, Jr. officiating. Burial will follow in Greenbrier Memorial Gardens in Lewisburg.
Friends may call from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday, May 4, at the funeral home in Ronceverte.
