New River Community and Technical College is offering two mushroom classes on Feb. 20 at the Greenbrier Valley Campus, Lewisburg. A mushroom identification class will be offered from 3:30 to 5 p.m. Students will learn to identify the differences between mushrooms. From 6 to 8 p.m., students can learn about mushrooms and how to grow them.
Pre-registration for both courses is required by Feb. 16. The cost is $30 for mushroom growing and $10 for mushroom identification.
New River CTC’s Workforce Education Division provides community education classes and employable educational opportunities including noncredit courses, workforce development programs and customized training.
