The Greenbrier East Theater Department is announcing a performance of its spring competition piece, “Between the Lines,” this Sunday, Feb. 11, at Greenbrier Valley Theater (GVT) in downtown Lewisburg.
Based on actual newspaper headlines, “Between the Lines,” written by Dennis Bush, mixes fiction with facts. You’ll meet a celebrity stalker, a polygamist, the parents of a missing child and others in a series of scenes and monologues that range from heartbreaking to bizarre. The show will begin at 4 p.m. on Sunday afternoon and will run approximately 45 minutes. Tickets are Pay-What-You-Can and will help the theater troupe offset competition costs. The show is appropriate for all audiences. Also included in the performance will be poetry recitation by this year’s Poetry Out Loud winner, Brett Napier. Brett will represent Greenbrier East at the state competition, held in Charleston next month. For more information, please call Greenbrier East High School’s front office at 304-647-6464.
