“Yoncheva and Grigolo … came across as youthful, ardent and innocent. Their duets were electric; their kisses hot and numerous … Željko Lučić was an imposing figure with a voice to match.” —Wall Street Journal
Yoncheva made her Met debut in 2013. Along with the title of role in Tosca, she will also be appearing at the Met in the title role of Luisa Miller and Mimi in La Bohème. Her costar Grigolo will be returning to the Met this season as Hoffmann in Les Contes d’Hoffmann, and Edgardo in Lucia di Lammermoor. Lučić can be seen as Alfio in Cavalleria Rusticana.
