The Williamsburg Continuing Education Outreach Service Club met on Dec. 14 at Spring Creek Station for a Christmas lunch. Members attending were Virginia Hanna, Cassandria Perkins, Blanche Knicely, Loretta Shirley, Patricia Post, Laura Rose, Linda Spencer and Barbara Deeds. Guests attending were Burl Post and Laura and Jerry Sevy. Instead of a gift exchange this year, there was a monetary collection for Penny Pitch. Also there was a lovely electric scented wax warmer door prize, which was won by Virginia Hanna. There was a card exchange and cards were sent to absent members. Thanks to the owners of Spring Creek Station, great fellowship and good food was enjoyed by all.
Weather permitting the next meeting will be Jan. 9 at the home of Cassandria Perkins. Lesson for January will be Appalachian Genealogy. Prospective members and guests are always welcome to attend.
