Ronceverte – Kathleen Burke Masters Morgan went home to be with the Lord on Tuesday, Jan. 2, 2018, at Greenbrier Health Care Center.
She was born Jan. 22, 1920, in Ronceverte, to the late John Tony Masters and Mary Ann Pauley Masters.
Kathleen was a homemaker, former 4-H Leader, Sunday School Teacher and church custodian. She was a lifelong member of Greenbrier Regular Baptist Church. She loved to cook, bake and do many crafts. Her main hobby was making handmade quilts for her children and grandchildren.
In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband of 52 years, Lambert Morgan; son, Dayton Morgan and his wife Sylvia Broyles Morgan; brothers, Forest Masters and Hubbard Masters; and sisters, Marjorie Wykle, Nellie Lockhart, and Vergie Munsey.
Surviving are her son, Delbert Morgan (Sarah) of Second Creek; daughters, Charlotte Wong (Paul) of Lewisburg, Carol Ramsey (Erie) of Salem, VA, and Linda Bennett (Manfred) of Ronceverte; 14 grandchildren; 23 great-grandchildren and 10 great-great grandchildren; sister-in-law Donna Estep (Pete) of Sinks Grove; and nieces, nephews and many friends.
The funeral service will be at 1 p.m. on Saturday, Jan. 6, at Greenbrier Baptist Church, in Ronceverte, with her grandson, Rev. Jason Bennett officiating. Interment will follow in the Greenbrier Baptist Church Cemetery.
Friends will be received at the church from 11 a.m. until 1 p.m. on Saturday.
Grandsons will serve as pallbearers.
