Greenbrier County Schools’ Savanna Leech, a 12th grade student at Greenbrier East High School, won first place in Division V (Computer Aided Design) in the National School Bus Safety Week Poster Contest. The theme for this year’s poster contest was, “My Driver – My Safety Hero!”
The centerpiece of the national awareness week is the poster contest which is sponsored by the National Association of Pupil Transportation. Thousands of school districts in over 40 states participate in local and state-level competitions to select art work that depicts school bus safety-related themes and encourages and promotes school bus safety. The winning posters are used to promote safer school transportation for everyone.
Savanna’s poster along with all other 2017 winning posters can be on the NAPT website at www.napt.org.
