During Alderson’s Christmas Parade and Grand Illumination last week, someone unexpected showed up, Mrs. Santa Claus, Anita.

If you missed her, you can get another chance to talk with her and take some selfies on Dec. 9 and Dec. 23 from 6-8 p.m. in Santaland in Alumni Park.

You can drive under the lights across the Memorial Bridge for a pay-what-you-can donation and then stop at the park on the Monroe County side. Mrs. Claus said she will be there with hot chocolate and her homemade ginger bread cookies. You can also give her any messages for Santa, she will make sure to get them to him. Alderson events are sponsored by the Town of Alderson and Alderson Main Street.
