Main Street Ronceverte announces the much anticipated release of their fifth annual Christmas ornament the “1810 Edgarton building.” This special addition joins the collection of previous offered ornaments including the C&O Depot, the C&O Coaling Station, Greenbrier High School, and Martin & Jones Hardware.

The Edgarton building is a beautiful historic home that was established in 1810 by Thomas Edgar. The home was built by the Greenbrier River, and played a significant role in the incorporation of the City of Ronceverte. This unique house is full of history which showcases scenes from days gone by in Greenbrier County. Currently, the home serves as the Edgarton Inn Bed & Breakfast, which is the only B&B in the City of Ronceverte.

“We just hope that current residence, previous residence, and folks far and wide will help us celebrate our town and its history along with the current developments underway by purchasing their own piece of Ronceverte history,” said Sally Baker, president of the Ronceverte Development Corporation and chair of the Main Street Ronceverte Economic Restructuring Committee. “The Edgarton continues to play an integral role in our history.”

This year’s ornament was sponsored through the generosity of Vivian and Alan Clower, Kathy King, current owner and operator of the Historic Edgarton Inn, and Becky Meriwether, a local resident and Main Street supporter.

The Edgarton ornament is available for $15 at the following downtown locations: Greenbrier Cut Flowers, Wiseman’s Floral & Gifts, First National Bank, Ronceverte Feed Store, Morgan and Morgan Insurance, Factory Tire, Martin & Jones, Edgarton Café and Bakery, and the Edgarton Inn Bed & Breakfast

If interested in purchasing the ornament by mail, please send the form below to: The RDC Office, 307 Frankford Road Ronceverte, WV 24970. Shipping for each item is $5. Other ornaments are available while supplies last.
