Ronceverte– God called Neil Patrick George, 47, home on Monday, Nov. 13, 2017, at Greenbrier Valley Medical Center.

Neil was born June 10, 1970, in Beckley, to the late Franklin Delano George, Sr. and Frances Alene Buchanan.

He was a member of the Ronceverte Christian Church on Gypsy Heights. He enjoyed watching kids play at the Island Park. He was also an avid sports fan, especially the New England Patriots. He enjoyed baseball and football too. He had a deep love for animals of all kinds.

Other than his parents he was preceded in death by his niece, Tara Camille Clark.

Survivors include his sisters, Kathy Clark and husband Roger of Troutville, VA, Cindy Dalton of Richmond, VA, Abby Gail Williams of Phoenix, AZ, and Heather Pepper and husband David of Princeton, MS; brothers, Franklin George, Jr. of Rainelle, Travis George of Murphy, NC, and Alan George of Fort Lauderdale, FL; special friend, Cherie Davis of Ronceverte; as well as several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, and many friends.

The funeral service was held Thursday, Nov. 16 at Wallace & Wallace Funeral Home in Lewisburg, where Pastor Rose McClung officiated. Burial followed in Wallace Memorial Cemetery.

Friends and family called Wednesday evening, Nov. 15, at the funeral home.

The family asks that in lieu of flowers donations of sympathy be made to the Ronceverte City Hall, 182 West Main Street Ronceverte, WV 24970, for the kids’ sports teams of Ronceverte Island Park or to the Greenbrier Humane Society, 151 Holliday Lane, Lewisburg, WV 24901.
