Dr. David Perkins (left), formerly of Smoot and Lewisburg, reflected on the work James E. Johnson, the late long-time Greenbrier County 4-H Agent, put in with other prominent Greenbrier Countians, to get the Greenbrier County Youth Camp built and in operation in the 1953-54 and later years. Johnson’s daughter and son, Mrs. Barbara Saunders and Tom Johnson, are shown with the portrait which was unveiled Sunday, Sept. 24, at the Greenbrier Youth Camp Honors luncheon. The portrait will be displayed above the fireplace in the assembly hall at the Camp.
