The first ever Steve Cooke Memorial Rally will be held on Saturday, July 22.

An elimination drawing will be held during the Summer Festival in Ronceverte. One hundred tickets are available for a donation of $100. Payout: first place, $2,500; second place, $1,000; third, fourth and fifth place, $500 each.

Every 15 minutes, 10 numbers will be drawn and eliminated until five numbers remain in contention for the prize money. The final five numbers will be randomly assigned to five tricycle riders for a race on Edgar Avenue.

All proceeds will support the endowment of the annual Stephen Cooke Automotive Scholarship awarded to a Greenbrier East High School student enrolled in the auto mechanics program, in honor of Steve Cooke.
