Ronceverte– Daisy Lorene Holliday Shaffer Withrow, 91, resident at The Brier, Fairlea, for many years, died Thursday, June 15, 2017.
Her parents were Thena Howell Holliday and Michael Cleveland “Cleve’’ Holliday.
She was preceded in death by her parents, and all her nine siblings, Harry, Watson, Ina Pearl, John Francis, Verna Estus, Laura Jane, Lula Mae, Robert Cleveland, William Russell and James Ivan Holliday, and also by her first husband, Cecil W. Shaffer, her second husband, James Withrow, and many nieces and nephews.
She is survived by her second husband’s children; several sisters-in-law; and a number of nieces, nephews, and grand-nieces and grand-nephews, too many to mention.
A graveside service was held on Tuesday, June 27, at Wallace Memorial Cemetery at Clintonville where Rev. Robert “Ricky” Hefner officiated.
