Kitty Loudermilk was hostess to the Progressive CEOS when they met for their June meeting. Barbara Shiley welcomed everyone and thanked Kitty for being hostess. The meditation, “If I Had My Life to Live Over” was given by Barbara Shiley.

Patty Gray reported from the council meeting. The fall Leadership Meeting will be held on Aug. 25 at the Lewisburg Methodist Church. The registration begins at 9:30 a.m. and the program begins at 10 a.m. This will be a birthday luncheon. Clubs will choose a month and will decorate the tables with themes of their choice. Progressive CEOS will do March.

Betty Jo McNeil gave a report from the Achievement Day. Our club received three awards: 1st Place – Purposeful Reading; 3rd Place – Market and Membership and 3rd Place – Continuing Education.

The Greenbrier County Picnic is July 18 at noon at Muddy Creek Mountain Community Center. This is a covered dish and we are to bring paper supplies for the Hospitality House in Alderson.

Our July 11 meeting will be a visit to the Salt Cave in White Sulphur Springs. We are to bring white socks and $15 each for the session. We will meet at the Lewisburg Methodist Church parking lot at 10 a.m. and car pool. After the cave visit, we will eat lunch at Draper’s.

Patty Gray brought the traveling basket and gave it to Linda Schmidt who will bring it back next month.

Jean Foley brought the Friendship Quilt back and passed it along to Faye Honaker.

Betty Jo McNeil introduced Bonnie Kelley and her friend Brenda Sizemore.

Bonnie is a long time friend of Betty Jo’s. They have been friends since childhood. Bonnie’s home was one of many that was destroyed in the flood. She told of being in water up to her neck. She wasn’t able to save anything. With the help of the Amish, Mennonites, Samaritan’s Purse and others too numerous to mention, she is back in her home. She said God’s hand was in it all of the way and she feels so blessed.

While enjoying delicious refreshments, a time of fellowship was had by Lynn Humphreys, Dot Feamster, Jean Foley, Betty Jo McNeil, Faye Honaker, Barbara Shiley, Linda Schmidt, Patty Gray, Colleen Walton, Kitty Loudermilk and guests Bonnie Kelley and Brenda Sizemore.
