Second Creek-Donald Wayne “Donnie’’ Henson, 61, passed away Friday, May 12, 2017, at Greenbrier Valley Medical Center.
Born Nov. 11, 1955, at Ronceverte, he was a son of the late Gene and Velma Emily Morgan Henson.
Donald was a truck driver and was a member of the National Guard.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Linda Henson in 2006; and three brothers, Garland, Denny and Darrell Henson.
He is survived by daughter, Misty Boone and husband Chris of Organ Cave; son, Chris Henson and wife Samantha of Second Creek; sister, Carol Dixon and husband Bill of Frankford; five grandchildren, Mackenzie Boone, Lindsay Boone, Emily Henson, Brody Heckman and Breanna Henson; and several nieces and nephews.
The funeral service was held Wednesday, May 17, at the Highland Park Community Church, Second Creek, where Pastor Freddie Bostic officiated. Burial followed in the Highland Park Cemetery.
Visitation was Tuesday evening, May 16, at Wallace & Wallace Funeral Home in Ronceverte.
