The Master Gardeners of Greenbrier Valley are getting ready for their annual plant sale at the state fairgrounds Saturday, May 20. The plant sale has been a much anticipated event for local gardeners to stock up on plants for the upcoming gardening season for the past 12 years. There will be a wide range of plants for sale including flowers, vegetables, fruits and herbs. Many of the plants are donated by individual master gardeners or come from the demonstration garden at the fairgrounds. Prices on the plants are very reasonable. The plant sale will take place at the picnic pavilion on the north end of the WV State fairgrounds beside the demonstration garden (near the West Virginia University building). Hours are from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. Pictured: 2016 Master Gardener plant sale.
