A free workshop to introduce the Adobe Lightroom software will be held on Thursday, Mar. 23, from 6-8:30 p.m. in Room 409, Warren Hall, on the Dabney S. Lancaster Community College Clifton Forge, VA, campus.
The one-night class will be taught by professional photographer Chuck Almarez of Fire and Light Gallery in Clifton Forge.
Almarez will explain what Lightroom is used to accomplish, demonstrate how it is used and why it’s considered the world’s premier photographic digital production tool.
Following the free workshop, Almarez will teach a four-session Lightroom course on Thursdays, Mar. 30 – Apr. 20, also from 6-8:30 p.m. in the same location. Students will learn how to import, organize, rate and tag images, and then output them in a variety of ways. Tuition is $180. Students should bring their own laptops with the Lightroom software already installed. For questions about either the workshop or course, contact Almarez at fireandlight@ntelos.net.
